June 6, 1944 D-Day A Day in Our History

This year on June 6, 2014 will mark the 70th anniversary of the invasion of Normandy, better known as D-Day.

On this day 70 years ago the Allied forces began their attack and march into Germany, as the forces invaded the 50 mile coast line of France.

This movie is just a reminder of what sacrifices were made by the allied forces, and it will be a day forever remembered in World History.

This I will always remember, as my dad served in the US Navy. He was on the USS Thurston a troop transport. His ship was 10 miles off the coast of Omaha Beach that day awaiting their orders.
