Take Some Timeout To Go Fishing

Are you an avid fisherman? Do you know somebody who is? The Mitchell 300 fishing reel would make a great gift anytime for the fisherman on your list. I wouldn't call myself an avid fisherman, but I do like to grab my tackle box, rod and reel, and get out there and hopefully catch some fish.

I Like fishing in the spring, summer and fall, I have some friends that love to ice fishing, and they are always asking me to go with them. I do like fishing, but I have no desire to be on a frozen lake in the middle of winter trying to catch some fish. So I guess that makes me a fair weather fisherman. I like to get out in the nice weather, sit by the side of lake and do some fishing and just relax.

My dad bought me a Mitchell 300 reel when I was a teenager, and I still have that reel today. I've been using it for over 40 years. I've been to many fishing spots with my reel, creeks fishing for trout, in Lake Erie fishing for walleye, and Chautauqua Lake fishing for bass and sunfish with our grandson.

I'm not an expert on fishing reels by any means, and I don't even know that much about them. What I do know is that I've used my Mitchell 300 for over 40 years now, and it has never failed me. If it ever breaks, I'll surely buy another one and probably not live to see the day that it breaks.
This is why I recommend the Mitchell 300 fishing reel as a great gift.

Spring Clean Up In Western New York

Well today in Western New York we finally had a beautiful spring day. Saturday wasn't bad either, so I spent the weekend cleaning up the yard.

All that left over stuff from the fall, just buried under the winter snow. leaves under the bushes, pine needles, and some dead grass to rack off the lawn, I also cleaned off the deck.

I sure hope you got a lot done this weekend because here in Western New York the forecast is cold and snow for Tuesday, they say we could get 3 inches. We hope this is the last one for the year.

Soon it will be time to plant the flowers and the garden. I don't have much room in my yard for a garden, but every year we plant one at my daughter's house.

My favorite tool for digging the garden, no not a shovel, but my Mantis Tiller. I also use it to weed around my shrubs, and cut a nice edge along the side walk with my edger attachment.

Here you can find out more information about my Mantis Tiller and some other things I've used it for.

Instead of sitting in front of the television or play computer games all day try to engage some good old fashion things to do.

1. Read some book

2. Play some card games

3. Build some thing with your Lego set

4. Inside sand boxes

5. Play Dough

I Think the list goes on and on with so many things to keep your kids busy.
