Lucille Ball Comedy Festival 2015

Lucille Ball and Desi Arnis

I remember growing up watching I love Lucy on our black and white television. I didn't really become a fan until later on in life, as I watched many of the re-runs and realized just how funny she was.

Lucille Ball was born August 11, 1911 in Jamestown New York, and went on to have a long and successful career in Hollywood. She was the 1st woman to head a major production studio Desilu Productions.

Something that I never knew until later was Desilu produced many television series such as Mission Impossible and Star Trek.

The Lucille Ball Comedy Festival is held each year in Jamestown New York to honor Lucy. If you're a Lucy fan then you already know, Jamestown is where she was born and raised.

This years festival is bigger than ever, and will be held. 7/30 - 8/2 2015. But don't take my word for it follow the link below to see for yourself, the all star line and amazing events. There is still plenty of time to make your travel plans to this magnificent event.

You don't have to wait for strawberry season to enjoy this sweet treat. Just pick up some fresh strawberries at your local grocery store for this magnificent treat.

This strawberry sweet treat recipe belongs to my daughter-in-law Tricia.  She makes this tasty sweet treat with such simple ingredients. The best part is that she takes the time to make her own crepes.

This is a perfect dessert surprise for Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, and Birthday's. Or, impress your guests at your next Dinner or Luncheon date. They'll think you're a pastry chef for sure.

Father's Day 2014

June 15th is Father's Day, what will you do to honor the man who you looked up to, who stood by you, who taught you how to be a man or a woman? My father passed away in 1998, but I'll never forget all of those good times and every thing he did for me, even as an adult my dad was always there. I always got my dad a box of his favorite cigars for Father's Day, and June 15th I'll be thinking about him.

So on June 15th, pay tribute, cook your dad breakfast, take him to dinner, cook something special on the grill, or just hang out to let him now you care.
